E-Commerce Implementation Support - Strategic Advisor
Consulting and sparring on e-commerce projects
My Role

I Advise. You Decide.

I'm not a project manager calling the shots. I'm the advisor who asks the tough questions and spots what everyone else misses.

Complex e-commerce projects need an independent voice - someone with no agenda beyond your success. I challenge technical concepts, cut through vendor jargon, and bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution.

Need someone with actual decision-making power? Check out Project Management or Interim Management instead.

  • Strategic Sounding Board. I stress-test your concepts, walk through scenarios, and bring fresh perspectives.
  • Quality Assurance. I review deliverables, test critical functionality, and validate before sign-off.
  • Vendor Management. I sit in on vendor calls, hold agencies accountable, and keep everyone aligned.
  • Business-Tech Translator. I bridge the gap between business stakeholders and developers - both ways.
The Difference

Projects with Support

E-commerce projects rarely fail because of technology. They fail because of miscommunication, misaligned expectations, and gaps in oversight.

Without Support

  • No one pushes back on vendor proposals
  • Everyone reads the specs differently
  • Problems surface too late to fix cheaply
  • Budget and timeline spiral out of control
  • Business and IT keep talking past each other

With Support

  • Independent review of every concept and proposal
  • Crystal-clear specs everyone interprets the same way
  • Early QA catches issues while they're still cheap to fix
  • Transparent progress tracking you can trust
  • Someone who speaks both business and tech fluently

Questions About Implementation Support

Still have questions? Contact me directly.

01

How are you different from a project manager?

A project manager is embedded in the project and makes day-to-day decisions. I deliberately stay a step removed: I question, review, and advise - but you call the shots. That distance lets me stay critical without any conflicts of interest.

02

How much of your time will I need?

It depends on the project phase. During crunch times (kickoff, go-live), expect 6-8 days per month. During calmer stretches, 2-3 days. We'll define a framework that fits your project.

03

Will you work with our agency?

Absolutely - that's the norm. I'm not competing with your agency; I'm your advocate on the client side. Good agencies actually appreciate this, because clear requirements and fast decisions make their lives easier too.

04

What's the minimum project size where this makes sense?

Rule of thumb: for projects over EUR 50,000 or lasting more than 3 months, independent support is worth it. For smaller projects, a one-time Audit or Sparring session is usually a better fit.

05

Can I bring you in for specific phases only?

Absolutely. Some clients bring me in just for the concept phase, others only for go-live assurance. We can focus the engagement on whichever phases are most critical.

06

What does implementation support cost?

Monthly support ranges from EUR 1,500 for 2 days per month up to EUR 4,000 for 8 days. For longer engagements, package pricing is available. We'll figure out the right scope during our initial call.

07

How quickly can you start?

Typically within 1-2 weeks. For urgent projects, I can often find a faster solution. Just get in touch.

08

What if there are conflicts with the vendor?

I facilitate and mediate - but I'm unambiguously in your corner. When real conflicts arise, I help document issues, define escalation paths, and evaluate alternatives if needed.
